In the Heart of Family and Traditions
As the holiday season wraps us in its enchanting embrace, I find myself reflecting on the true meaning of Christmas. My youngest son Ryder who is 11, came up to me and said “ mom, I think people are forgetting about the true meaning of Christmas”. He went on discussing Santa Claus and the gifts he brings to all Christmas Eve. We discussed the birth of Christ and the Kingsmen baring gifts. In short, it’s a celebration and about giving to others. He then asked if I would pray with him as he blessed our dinner. I somehow was overjoyed! All new to me!!! This really made me think about my faith and my beliefs. I shared the conversation with my other son Carter who is 15, he said “we should be praying more”…..WOW!
Christmas is more than just festive decorations and the jolly presence of Santa Claus; for me and my family, it’s about cherishing the moments we share together. This year is the first year celebrating this holiday in Texas and I am so excited that my family will be all together. Both my adult sons, Deven and Austin are coming for Christmas!
Christmas Eve Magic
Our celebration begins on Christmas Eve, a night filled with warmth and anticipation. The heart of our festivities lies in a wonderful dinner, a table adorned with love and shared joy. It’s a time when the aroma of home-cooked delights mingles with the laughter that echoes through our home.
Gathering Around
What makes this season truly special is the gathering of my children, my four boys. Their excitement and enthusiasm infuse the air with an infectious energy, turning our home into a haven of love. As we gather around, the bonds of family grow stronger, creating memories that last a lifetime.
Games and Laughter
Amidst the twinkling lights and the glowing fireplace, we engage in games that bring us closer. Whether it’s a spirited round of board games or sharing stories, the essence of Christmas lies in the shared laughter that reverberates through our home.
Celebrating Christ’s Love
Beyond the presents and decorations, we celebrate the love of Christ that binds us together. It’s a time for reflection, gratitude, and acknowledging the blessings we’ve received. Each Christmas, we strive to embody the spirit of giving back and spreading kindness in our community.
The Heartfelt Warp
In the heart of our family traditions, Christmas isn’t just a day; it’s a celebration of love, togetherness, and the enduring spirit of giving. As we wrap ourselves in the warmth of shared moments, I’m reminded that the true magic of Christmas lies in the love we share with those closest to us.
May this holiday season bring you and your loved ones the same warmth and joy that fills our home each Christmas.
Wishing you a Merry Christmas filled with love and laughter,
Brenda
